Harat Transportation Company commences transport services Keren-Halhal route

The inhabitants of Halhal sub-zone expressed satisfaction with the commencement of transport services along the Keren- Halhal route.

Keren, 14 October 2011- The inhabitants of Halhal sub-zone expressed satisfaction with the commencement of transport services along the Keren- Halhal route.

The inhabitants told ERINA that due to lack of regular transport services previously, they were compelled to pay above tariff, but now their problem has been alleviated and are relieved.Both Mr. Mahmoud Idris and Mr. Mohammed Hamid said that they used to pay up to 100 Nakfa, but at present they are getting regular transport service with only 16 Nakfa.

Mr. Gebremedhin Kidane, driver from Harat Transport Company, on his part indicated that people are getting proper transportation services, and expressed his concern that unless the local inhabitants and concerned institutions find urgent solution, transport services may come to a halt due to uncomfortable road.

Mr. Gebreselasie Berhane, Administrator of the sub-zone said that the commencement of transportation service by Harat Transportation Company has given rise to improving the living condition of the inhabitants and indicated that there is a plan to renovate the road.
