Eritrea Festival in Italy conducted with patriotic zeal

Eritrea Festival in Italy got underway yesterday under the theme “United for Rebuff and Development.”

Asmara, 15 October 2011- Eritrea Festival in Italy got underway yesterday under the theme “United for Rebuff and Development.”

The festival in which thousands of Eritrean nationals from different Italian cities and friends of Eritrea are participating was opened by Mr. Hagos Gebrehiwet, Head of Economic Affairs at the PFDJ.

In an opening speech Mr.Girmai Habtemichael, Chairman of the Eritrean Community in Italy, said that “Eritrean festivals are testimony to our perseverance and unity, as well as reinforcing national unity and nationalism.

The festival will continue until October16, with photo exhibition, cultural and sports programs, seminars among other. According to reporters from the Ministry of Information, thousands of Eritrean citizens from different  Italian cities are participating in different activities.
