Anseba region: participation of females in education registers significant growth

Branch office of the Ministry of Education in the Anseba region disclosed that participation of women in education is showing significant growth. Keren, 16 October 2011- Branch office of the Ministry of Education in the Anseba region disclosed that participation of women in education is showing significant growth.

Head of the branch office, Mr. Bokretsion Habtemichael noted that on top of their active participation in education, their performance has also been attesting excellence.

Thanks to the government’s massive investment in the region, the number of schools in the region has shown 4.3% growth in this year alone. He also called on parental committees and teachers to reinforce their efforts in nurturing compatible students and utilize the education infrastructure put in place in their respective areas.

Documents from the branch office of the ministry show that there are 76 kindergartens, 137 elementary level schools, 57 junior schools, and 12 secondary schools.
