The implementation of various development programs in Halhale sub-zone are making due contribution in upgrading the living standard of the inhabitants, stated Mr. Gebreslasie Berhane, the Administrator. Halhale, 19 October 2011 – The implementation of various development programs in Halhale sub-zone are making due contribution in upgrading the living standard of the inhabitants, stated Mr. Gebreslasie Berhane, the Administrator.

He explained that schools ranging from kindergarten to secondary level in Halhale semi-urban center and junior school in Melebso were constructed, which in turn are playing significant role in the teaching-learning process.

Moreover, the Administrator indicated that micro-dams and ponds in the sub-zone have impounded adequate amount of water, and as a result the inhabitants are obtaining reliable potable water supply. He added that 23 thousand coffee seedlings have been distributed to farmers, and activities to protect reserve land and trees are being undertaken effectively.

Mr. Gebreslasie further indicated that the provision of health service, electricity and mobile telephone services have relieved the inhabitants from problems previously encountered.

Halhal sub-zone, inhabited by over 31 thousand people, is one of the 11 sub-zones in Anseba region.
