Southern region: Discussion on action plan regarding literacy campaign for 2012
Extensive discussion on the action plan regarding literacy campaign in the Southern region for 2012 was conducted.
Mendefera, 21 October 2011 – Extensive discussion on the action plan regarding literacy campaign in the Southern region for 2012 was conducted.
Speaking at the meeting, the regional Administrator, Mr. Mustafa Nurhusein, stressed the need to exert utmost effort so as to effectively carry out the campaign.
The head of the Education Ministry’s branch office in the Southern region, Mr. Kaleab Tesfaselasie, said that though impressive achievement has been registered to eradicating illiteracy, still vigorous efforts are needed to successfully implement the project. He added that more than 25 thousand citizens in the region have managed to read and write.
The participants of the meeting adopted a number of resolutions.
