Bee breeders in Fishe-Mirara Administrative area, Ginda sub-zone, said that they would strive for higher output. Massawa, 22 October 2011- Bee breeders in Fishe-Mirara Administrative area, Ginda sub-zone, said that they would strive for higher output.
Stating that Modern bee hives play significant role in the production of honey, they indicated that the awareness promotion campaign undertaken by the Ministry of Agriculture has enabled them to raise their awareness.
Mr. Ali Adem who owns more than 60 bee hives noted that honey production is vital in endeavors to promote food security. Two other inhabitants of the area, Mr. Mohammed Saleh and Mr.Kibrom Temnewo, called on the Ministry of Agriculture to extend them the necessary support.
The manager of Fishe-Mirara Administrative area, Mr. Saleh Tiluq, explained that the area is suitable for bee breeding, and that vigorous efforts need to be taken in order to raise honey production.
