Pointing out that the seeds they used to apply needed plenty of water, besides taking long time to produce, they stated that the ones presently distributed don’t require plenty of water and could be harvested in short period of time.
In a meeting he conducted with the farming community of the sub-zone, the Director of the National Halhale Agriculture Research Institution, Dr. Eyasu Gebretatiyos, said that the Agriculture Ministry is striving to distribute animal feed, besides hybridizing seeds. He called on them to heed advice given by agricultural experts, and thereby step up efforts to boost farm output.
