Inhabitants of Foro sub-zone carry out effective soil and water conservation activities

The inhabitants of six administrative areas of Foro sub-zone have carried out effective soil and water conservation activities, stated Eng. Mihreteab Fisehaye, an expert on such conservation at the Agriculture Ministry’s branch office in the Northern Red Sea region.
Foro, 24 October 2011 – The inhabitants of six administrative areas of Foro sub-zone have carried out effective soil and water conservation activities, stated Eng. Mihreteab Fisehaye, an expert on such conservation at the Agriculture Ministry’s branch office in the Northern Red Sea region.

He said that the local inhabitants are engaged in constructing terraces and embankments so as to put under cultivation the long escarpment stretching along Kohaito-Foro route. 

The head of economic development in the sub-zone, Mr. Mahmoud Abdalla, explained that a workforce of about 2,000 is being engaged in the task daily so as to change the Kohaito-Foro strategic road into green area.
