Keren-Begu road renovated through popular campaign

The inhabitants and employees of Keren town have renovated Keren-Begu road through popular campaign that was been damaged due to flood waters.
Keren, 24 October 2011 – The inhabitants and employees of Keren town have renovated Keren-Begu road through popular campaign that was been damaged due to flood waters.

The Administrator of Arbate administrative area, Mr. Humed Berah, pointed out that the inhabitants every year engage themselves in renovation activities, and that such community-based undertakings are bearing fruitful outcome.

Meanwhile, the inhabitants called on concerned bodies to expand Tinkulahas road along the Keren-Tessenei main road as its narrowness and steep slope exposes vehicles to danger. They also called on the general public to play active role in preserving ancient historical artifacts along the Tinkulahas road which are tourist of destination.

Tinkulahas road was constructed during the Italian colonial period.
