Asmara, 25 October 2011-The investments made in assisting war-disabled veterans have registered satisfactory outcome, according to Mr. Abraham Kifeltsion from the Eritrean National War-disabled Veteran Association.
He explained that the majority of association members engaged in bakery, innovation activities, and service-rendering institutions in general have managed to improve their livelihood with the assistance extended to them.
He further indicated that investments made in Massawa, Ginda, Afabet and Nakfa sub-zones have registered satisfactory outcome, and that preparations are underway to assist war-disabled veterans keen to engage themselves in farming and animal breeding activities.
Mr. Abraham also pointed out that the Association has opened branch offices in Sudan, Germany, and Holland to organize war-disabled veterans in the Diaspora, and indicated that motors would be provided to those engaged in vegetable farming and animal breeding.
Meanwhile, the manager of Geled Plant said that with the 2.5 million Nakfa assistance he secured, he was able to own cafeteria, cars, and that he is playing due role in the national development drive.
