Ministry extends support to over 100 needy students in Barnetu town

The branch office of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare in Barentu sub-zone has extended support to over 100 needy and orphan students amounting to more than 245 thousand Nakfa, stated Ms. Hana Osman, head of the branch office.

Barentu, 26 October 2011 – The branch office of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare in Barentu sub-zone has extended support to over 100 needy and orphan students amounting to more than 245 thousand Nakfa, stated Ms. Hana Osman, head of the branch office.

She said that 330 Nakfa, uniform and school materials were provided to 60 elementary students in the administrative areas of Dase, Biyara, Fithi and Selam, in addition to the distribution of complete stationeries to another 65 students.

Indicating that the students were previously unable to pursue studies enthusiastically as they were also engaged in various trading activities due to financial problem the beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the support.
