Massawa, 27 October 2011 – The role of the society in rehabilitating juvenile delinquents is vital, stated Maj. Kiflit Elias, head of crime investigation unit of the Police in Northern Red Sea region.

In an annual assessment meeting conducted in Massawa, Maj. Kiflit stressed the role of society in nurturing decent and responsible youths.

The director of social services in the region, Mr. Tesfai Tekle , said that the concerted efforts  to nurture responsible youths guarantee a bright future for the country and urged the  public at large to ensure that the youth, preserve the nation’s cherished values, in addition to making due contribution to the development drive .

The participants of the meeting on their part called for organizing training program for juvenile delinquents along corrective majors, as well as providing the necessary support for pursuing their studies.
