The water pumps that were given on loan to its members from all over the country cost over 5 million Nakfa.
In a speech he delivered during the rehabilitation ceremony on the 26th of October, the Chairperson of the National Association of Eritrean War-disabled veterans, Mr. Gebrebrhan Eyasu, indicating that the project is a continuation of similar projects of the past, reminded the beneficiaries to appreciate the importance of the program and contribute their share in the development efforts.
Disabled Ms. Azieb Asgedom and Mr. Abraham Gebrezgziabher from Mendefera and Segenity respectively, said that the support provided to them by the Government and people of Eritrea is enabling them lead their lives properly.
Mr. Salih Ali from Afabet, Northern Red Sea region, on his part indicated that the support provided to him is contributing a lot in his daily life and called for the sustainability of the program.
Stating that the main objective of the program is to improve the lives of war-disabled veterans, Mr. Gebrebrhan remained them to make maximum use of the opportunity and develop modern agricultural practices as well as contribute in the efforts to ensure food security.
