Fire accident at University Guest House put under control

A fire accident at the University  Guest House  here in the capital was put under control without causing damage through the  collaboration of the public, police and Fire Brigades, stated Inspector Kidane  Woldemicheal from the Brigade. Asmara, 29 October 2011-   A fire accident at the University  Guest House  here in the capital was put under control without causing damage through the  collaboration of the public, police and Fire Brigades, stated Inspector Kidane  Woldemicheal from the Brigade.

He indicated that the fire was put out within an hour and that 15 members of the Fire Brigade with three fire fighting vehicles participated in the task.

Mr. Mehari Tewolde and Mr. Haile Berhe,   who resident in the building said that the cause of the accident is not known, and that they got information about the accident from outside the complex, and that with the assistance of the Fire Brigade the blaze was put under control.

Corporal Habtemicheal Haile from the Police Station No.1 indicated that investigation is underway to identify the cause and that there were no causalities except the burning of two bedrooms.
