Anseba Region: Vigorous efforts to ensure potable water supply

Branch office of the Ministry of Land Water and Environment in the Anseba region disclosed that big development programs aimed at provision of potable water supply are being implemented in the region. Keren, 31 October 2011- Branch office of the Ministry of Land Water and Environment in the Anseba region disclosed that big development programs aimed at provision of potable water supply are being implemented in the region.

Head of the water department in the branch office, Mr. Zerie Weldetensae noted that the government has constructed over 60 dams and micro-dames to secure efficient supply of water in the region.

Mr. Zerie added that over 194 wells have been constructed and are being utilized for potable water supply services, while the administration and concerned authorities are doing their level best in administering the water supply and provision of maintenance services to the projects.
