Service-rendering institutions urged to play due role in development of tourism

Mr. Amine Woldeab, head of the tourism branch office of the Gash-Barka region, called service-rendering institutions in region play due role in the developing of tourism there through efficient provision of services. He said that service-rendering institutions should provide services based on our culture of hospitability, cleanliness, speedy and in a humble way. Mr. Amine also indicated that this way they could play due role in developing domestic tourism.

Indicating that there are 1,800 service rendering institutions in Gash Barka region, he indicated that the introduction of community-led sanitation campaign in all villages would have a positive contribution on efficient rendering of services.

The Manager of Hotel Kostina, Tesenei, Mr. Yonas Berhane and owner of a Snack Bar, Mr. Nur Ahmed Mehammed on their part expressed readiness to provide efficient services to customers based on the culture and tradition of the society and play due role in developing tourism in the region.

Like-wise, Ms. Eden Gebregziabher said that efficient provision of services is for the advantage of owners of service institutions and called for sustainable provision of training by the tourism branch office.
