Halhale inhabitants stress significance of proper management so as to judiciously utilize water resources

The inhabitants of Halhale stressed the need to apply proper management so as to judiciously utilize underground and surface water resources in the sub-zone.

Halhale, 2 November 2011 – The inhabitants of Halhale stressed the need to apply proper management so as to judiciously utilize underground and surface water resources in the sub-zone.

In a meeting they conducted with the Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, the inhabitants of the sub-zone stated that they are obtaining transport, electricity, education, health and potable water supply services.

The Administrator called on farmers in the area to make maximum use of the water impounded in Halhale Dam to cultivate fruits and vegetables. He also expressed the Administration’s readiness to extend the necessary support.
