Southern Red Sea region: Efforts to nurture competent youths bearing fruitful outcome

Efforts to nurture competent youths are bearing fruitful outcome, stated Ms. Kedija Omar, head of the branch of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students (NUEYS) in the Southern Red Sea region.

Assab, 4 November 2011 – Efforts to nurture competent youths are bearing fruitful outcome, stated Ms. Kedija Omar, head of the branch of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students (NUEYS) in the Southern Red Sea region.

She explained that various types of vocational training have been provided to youths aimed at upgrading their capacity. The growing number of female students in education could be cited as the outcome of such endeavors, she added.

Furthermore, Ms. Kedija said that the activities of the Union which were previously confined to Assab and Rahaita have now been expanded to area administrative level, and as a result youth students have access to computer and library services.
