Gash-Barka Region: Efforts in progress to introduce advanced information system

Office of statistics and information system in the Gash-Barka region disclosed that efforts are in progress to introduce advanced system of information in all sectors of the regional administration. Barentu, 6 November 2011- Office of statistics and information system in the Gash-Barka region disclosed that efforts are in progress to introduce advanced system of information in all sectors of the regional administration.

Head of the office, Mr. Futsum Yebio said that starting from 2006, the office has carried out effective activities in preparing advanced data storage system, preparing computer network system and servers, as well as finalizing public census and detailed information.

He added that the regional administration is also working tirelessly to enhance the activities of the information system and its role in blueprinting tangible development programs and implementing them will be vital.
