Barentu, 10 November 2011- During an awareness promotion campaign in Barentu town, it was stressed that technical skill is crucial in efforts to ensure effective application of select seed.

Experts in this domain from the 14 sub-zones of Gash-Barka region participated in the campaign and conducted discussion on issues dealing with select seeds and planting methods, among others.

Mr. Kesete Gebereyohannes from the Agriculture Ministry’s branch office in the region said that the experimented select seeds are being popularized by exemplary farmers, in addition to playing vital role in increasing production.

Mr. Yohannes Zerai, one of the trainees said that the training would assist the farmers in enriching their experience and overcoming challenges.
