Eritrea’s Ambassador to the Republic of South Africa and countries of the southern African region, Mr. Saleh Omar presented his credentials to the president of the Republic of Mauritius, Sir Anerud Djugnaut. In the handing out event conducted in the Mauritius state palace on the 10th of November, Ambassador Saleh delivered messages goodwill from President Isaias Afewerki and expressed his readiness to strengthen the relations between Eritrea and Mauritius.
President of Mauritius, Sir Anerud Djugnaut on his part noted that his country will work to its capacity to maintain peace in the Horn of Africa and wished good health to President Isaias as well as peace and stability to the people of Eritrea.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Saleh Omar met with the deputy prime minister of the Republic of Mauritius, Dr. Ahmed Rashid and the Mauritian minister of foreign affairs, Dr. Arvin Bulel. During the meetings, both sides discussed the issue of Africa in a broader perspective and the current state of affairs in the Horn of Africa.
