Extensive public sanitation campaign to be undertaken in Central region

Extensive public sanitation day would be carried out in the Central region on November 20 in which all government and non-governmental institutions, as well as the general public would participate.

Asmara, 16 November 2011 –Extensive public sanitation day would be carried out in the Central region on November 20 in which all government and non-governmental institutions, as well as the general public would participate.

Col. Kinfe Habtom, in charge of law and order branch office in the region, indicated that construction companies, machineries and public technical service, as well as other vehicles would take part in the campaign. In addition, he stated that all administrative areas and sub-zones would play active role in the undertaking.

Col. Kinfe further indicated that the necessary preparations are being made for the task, and called on media outlets and others to make the campaign a success.

He also said that all vehicles except tracks and public buses traveling to and fro the administrative regions would halt service until mid-day.
