Societal Participation in controlling contagious diseases described quite significant

At an educational workshop conducted in Ginda town, it was stressed that the participation of the general public is of great significance in controlling contagious diseases.
Ginda’e, 19 November 2011- At an educational workshop conducted in Ginda town, it was stressed that the participation of the general public is of great significance in controlling contagious diseases.

The workshop was conducted by health professionals from the sub-zones of Ginda, She’ib, Gela’lo, Dahlak and Massawa. The participants conducted discussions on the prevention and control methods of contagious diseases.

Dr. Fikremariam Gilamichael, head of the contagious diseases control unit in the Health Ministry’s branch office in the sub-zone, noted the severity of contagious diseases, and urged the inhabitants to step up endeavors to control such diseases.  

The head of administration and finance at Ginda Referral Hospital, Mr. Kesete Kahsay said that due to its geographical location the Northern Red Sea Region is exposed to various types of contagious diseases, and called on health professionals and the local inhabitants mount coordinated endeavors towards controlling contagious diseases.
