Barentu Referral Hospital’s Ophthalmological Unit providing satisfactory service

The Ophthalmological clinic in Barentu Referral Hospital is providing satisfactory outcome, according to reports. Barentu, 24 November 2011- The Ophthalmological clinic in Barentu Referral Hospital is providing satisfactory outcome, according to reports.

Beneficiaries of the clinic appreciated the efforts of the Government in providing improved health service to the public. They also indicated that they are able to overcome a number of health-related problems thanks to the service that the clinic is providing.

Mr. Hassen Mohammed Sherif and Ms. Kedija Mohammed Saleh, both members of the local inhabitants, pointed out that they have now managed to obtain reliable health service.

Dr. Suekantamali, an Ophthalmologist in the hospital, stated on her part that patients of Cataract, glaucoma, inflammation of the eyelids, among others, are being treated in the hospital, which provides service to 70 to 100 patients daily.

In the past nine months around 7,000 patients received treatment,  in addition to other 1,200  others that undergone Cataract surgery. She further explained that the hospital is making due contribution in tackling various health-related problems in the sub-zone.
