Areza, 25 November 2011 –The need to exert the necessary efforts for increasing the number of female student enrollment in Geza-Dungur administrative area, Areza sub-zone, has been emphasized.
The director of Ubel Elementary and Junior School, Mr. Fitwi Tsehaye, said that only 240 students out of the total number of 1,200 are females, and that female dropout due to underage marriage is high. He called on the concerned body to conduct extensive campaign to remedy the situation.
Reports indicated that Ubel Elementary and Junior School which opened in 2,000 renders service to students from 14 villages of Geza-Dungur administrative area.
