100 Artists graduate from Ministry of Education

Around 100 Artists graduated from the Ministry of Education following a training courses.
Asmara, 27 November 2011- Around 100 Artists graduated from the Ministry of Education following a training courses.

In a speech he delivered at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Semere Russom, Minister of Education, said that the training plays vital role in enhancing arts in the country. He also stated that vigorous efforts would be made to guarantee the continuation of such training programs. The minister handed certificates to the graduates

Mr. Solomon Tsehaye, Head of cultural affairs in the Ministry, said on his part that the training includes painting, sculpture and publishing courses, among others, and that it was given by Chinese professionals.

He said that the training is vital for upgrading the skill of the artists, as they bear the responsible of reflecting the social, cultural and historical potentials of the society.

Both artists Tadesse Zerihun and Mebrahtu Teklai indicated that the training has laid solid ground for their future, and pledged to do their part in training young and amateur artists.
