The teaching-learning process in Adobha sub-zone is registering commendable growth in line with the enhancement of student enrollment, according to Mr. Mohammed Idris, head of the branch office of the Ministry of Education in the sub-zone. Adobha, 28 November 2011 – The teaching-learning process in Adobha sub-zone is registering commendable growth in line with the enhancement of student enrollment, according to Mr. Mohammed Idris, head of the branch office of the Ministry of Education in the sub-zone.

He pointed out that the number of school attendance in the sub-zone was previously limited since the inhabitants’ lead nomadic pattern of lifestyle. At present, the number of students, however, is on the rise following the construction of a modern school and the regrouping of the inhabitants, Mr. Mohammed added.

Moreover, he said that there exist four elementary and one junior schools, besides a kindergarten in Adobha that suits with the nomadic lifestyle of the inhabitants. He further explained that the adult education program is showing improvement especially in Quedhat, Dirit and Elebabu.

The director of Dirit School, Mr. Hassen Hamed, explained that though the participation of female students is increasing from time to time, still more efforts are nonetheless needed to attain the desired goal.
