NUEW branch in Khartoum holds 2nd congress

The branch of the National Union of Eritrean Women in Khartoum held its 2nd Congress on November 25.

Asmara, 30 November 2011 – The branch of the National Union of Eritrean Women in Khartoum held its 2nd Congress on November 25.

During the Congress in which representatives of the Eritrean community, national associations, religious leaders and invited guests took part, Ms. Letekidan Kahsai, member of executive Committee of the NUEW branch, called on the members to enhance their role in the national development endeavors.

Mr. Mohammed Seid Mantai, the Eritrean Ambassador to Sudan, lauded the contribution of Eritrean women in the liberation struggle and national development.

Participants of the Congress conducted extensive discussion on the report presented and elected a nine-Executive committee.
