Congress of service-rendering institutions held in Massawa

Congress of service-rendering institutions in the Northern Red Sea region was held in Massawa city, on 28 and 29 November under the theme “Integrated Service for Tourism Development”.

Massawa, 1 December 2011- Congress of service-rendering institutions in the Northern Red Sea region was held in Massawa city, on 28 and 29 November under the theme “Integrated Service for Tourism Development”.

Speaking at the occasion, Mrs. Askalu Menkerious, Minister of Tourism, said the Northern Red Sea region possess a number of ancient relics, and was the gateway to various civilizations, owing tothe importance of the region in the tourism sector will mark it as the center of world economics soon.

She further said owners of service-rendering institutions need to cautiously utilize the existing opportunities and provide competitive institutions, and calledon owners of service-rendering institutions to provide satisfactory service at a reasonable price.

Administrator of the Northern Red Sea region, Ms. TsegeredaWoldegiorgis, reminded owners of service-rendering institutions to correct previous mistakes, and make vigorous efforts for satisfactory service. Pointing out that the tourism sector needs the integrated efforts of all citizens; the administrator called for the participation of every citizen in developing the tourism sector of the nation.

Mr. Abraham Micheal, chairman of service-rendering institutions association in the branch office of theMinistryof Tourismin the region, said service-rendering institutions reflect the services thus far provided, so as to provide satisfactory service.

Furthermore, Ms.Askalu Menkerios said the development of service-rendering institutions play vital role in developing the tourism sector of the country, and she called for the participation of every citizen in reporting unreasonable prices, unlicensed institutions, in addition to giving training for travel agencies and owners of service-rendering institutions.
