49 staff members of Ministry of Fisheries graduate

A total of 49 staff members of the Ministry of Fisheries who have been receiving training focusing on regulating and safety of marine resources have graduated. Massawa, 2 December 2011 – A total of 49 staff members of the Ministry of Fisheries who have been receiving training focusing on regulating and safety of marine resources have graduated.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the Minister of Fisheries, Mr. Tewolde Kelati, said that Eritrea is endowed with marine resources that are still untapped, and emphasized the responsibility of the general public to pass on the asset to the next generation.  He noted the importance of organizing such training to harness the natural resources properly and called on the graduates to upgrade the knowledge they acquired.

The Minister handed certificates to the graduates.

The coordinator of the training, Mr. Niguse Tesfamariam, explained on his part that the training included rules and administration of fishing activity, marine voyage and safety, fishing equipment and the like.
