Eritrean Pharmaceutical Association holds congress

The Eritrean Pharmaceutical Association held its 15th congress and 14th scientific conference.

Asmara, 12 December 2011 – The Eritrean Pharmaceutical Association held its 15th congress and 14th scientific conference.

During the congress, it was indicated that the Association had carried out effective work in raising public awareness regarding proper use of drug especially in schools and hospitals in the Central region over the past two years.

Meanwhile, same Association held scientific conference at the Asmara Palace here in the capital.

The President of the Association, Mr. Mulgeta Rusom, stated that impressive achievements have been registered over the past couples of years, and called on members to enhance endeavors to attain the set goal.
A representative of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Misgina Tekleab equally explained that the Ministry has been extending the necessary support to strength the work of the Association, and reiterated the Ministry’s readiness to similar support.

A number of study papers were presented focusing on relations between physicians, pharmacists and patients as well as the significance of the association, among others.
The participants adopted a number of resolutions and recommendations.
