Women in Southern Red Sea region called upon to enhance contribution in development program

At a meeting she conducted in the sub-zones of Central Denkalia and Araeta, the head of NUEW branch in the Southern Red Sea region, Ms. Weini Negash, called on women to enhance their contribution in development programs.
Assab, 16 December 2011 – At a meeting she conducted in the sub-zones of Central Denkalia and Araeta, the head of NUEW branch in the Southern Red Sea region, Ms. Weini Negash, called on women to enhance their contribution in development programs.

In the meeting in which female students from Ti’o, Edi and Afambo participated, she reminded them to become competitive in their studies so as to advocate their rights and take part in all social aspects.

Various lectures were also offered by experts aimed at promoting women’s awareness concerning pre-and post-delivery health care, traditional harmful practices and the importance of sanitation campaign

Besides, the NUEW branch in the region provided training to 13 women employees from Assab, Southern Denkalia and Central Denkalia focused on financing and administration.
