NUEW branch in Anseba region calls on to judiciously utilize opportunities available

Head of National Union of Eritrean Women  branch office in Anseba region, Ms. Asha Ali-Nur reminded women in the region to strengthen their efforts to judiciously utilize opportunities presented to them.
Keren, 17 December 2011-  Head of National Union of Eritrean Women  branch office in Anseba region, Ms. Asha Ali-Nur reminded women in the region to strengthen their efforts to judiciously utilize opportunities presented to them.

In a meeting she conducted with women from Halhale, Asmat, Sele’a sub-zones, she indicated that training has been provided to improve the livelihood of women in the region, in addition to assistance extended to needy families.

Ms. Asha further explained that programs are underway in organizing women living in remote areas, and indicated that efforts made to eradicate illiteracy among women has registered satisfactory outcome.

Ms. Kedija Osman, one of the local inhabitants said that acquiring skill free one from being dependent, and urged the union to expand such programs.
