Inhabitants of Foro sub-zone taking active participation in preserving Adulis historical site

The Inhabitants of Foro sub-zone are taking active participation in endeavors to preserve the historical site of Adulis. Massawa, 22 December 2011- The Inhabitants of Foro sub-zone are taking active participation in endeavors to preserve the historical site of Adulis.

The inhabitants indicated that as a result of the Government’s relentless efforts the awareness of the general public has been upgraded and that nationals are actively engaged in efforts to preserve the country’s relics.Mr. Omar Ibrahim, one of the local inhabitants, said that the historical site of Adulis has been one of the famous trade centers in the ancient  past, and that today’s relics and artifacts attest to this fact.

Adulis has been the gateway to development, political and cultural influences, as well as trade in the Horn region. The historical site of Adulis is located 6 Km east of Foro semi-urban center.
