Asmara, 24 December 2011 – Eritreans residing in Jeddah and its environs, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on 22 December conducted meeting of national rebuff under the theme “Our Agenda is Development”.
The citizens condemned the sanctions resolution against Eritrea at the behest of the US, and reiterated that they would enhance their contribution towards success of the development programs in the Homeland.
The participants who said “We would reverse every sanction through double fold participation”, expressed that the sanctions resolution targeted the development registered through the efforts of the Government and Eritrean people and that would be foiled by the national rebuff of every citizen contributing for reinforcement of the national development drive.
In briefing he gave Mr. Abdurahman Osman, the Eritrean Consul Genera in Jeddah, said that the sanctions resolution has no tangible evidence but was based on fabrications, and that it would not deter the Government and the Eritrean people from their development efforts.
Further more, he pointed out that so far major development programs have been registered and expressed his confidence that the Eritrean people living inside the country and abroad would work hard consolidating their unity.
