Zaer Textile Factory has begun utilizing 30% cotton from Gerset Agriculture which it previously used to import at high cost.

Asmara, 30 December 2011 – Zaer Textile Factory has begun utilizing 30% cotton from Gerset Agriculture which it previously used to import at high cost.

Mr. Stephano Bonazi, manager of the factory, explained that the putting in place of various infrastructure facilities and implementation of agricultural projects at substantial government expenditure are playing vital role in encouraging investors to participate.

He further explained that cotton farming in Gerset is competitive, and expressed conviction that the factory would fully depend on cotton from Gerset in the near future.

Mr. Sirak Tekleab, employee of the factory, said that it is equipped with modern facilities and mainly depends on local experts.
