Major infrastructure programs to be launched in Tessenei

In a meeting the inhabitants of Tessenei conducted,  it was disclosed that infrastructure programs are to be launched in Tessenei in 2012 in line with the town’s expansion and development. Tessenei, 2 January 2012 – In a meeting the inhabitants of Tessenei conducted,  it was disclosed that infrastructure programs are to be launched in Tessenei in 2012 in line with the town’s expansion and development.
Mr. Teklebirhan Gebrewold, Administrator of the sub-zone, pointed out that schools have been built as part of efforts to ensure and expand social services, and the effort to provide potable water schemes gaining momentum and that of hospital institutions.

Indicating the importance of regrouping of villages in ensuring social justice, he said that the inhabitants of Fanco and Ad-Umer have been regrouped in safe place thus became beneficiaries of social services. He further stated that 500 hectares are allocated for grazing in the surroundings of Fanco and Aligidir.

Stating that the revenue of the sub-zone has increased by 60 percent from that of last year, Mr. Teklebirhan said that due to the initiative taken by citizens to assist children of fallen heroes in 2011, a total of 242 martyrs’ children of fallen heroes have been assisted with 2.3 million Nakfa and the sub-zone administration has reserved shops for 17 children of fallen heroes.

The Administrator further indicated that major programs in 2012 would include asphalting 6 kilometers of road in Tessenei, construction of modern bus terminal, and public hall, setting up butchery, renovating Suk Sha’abi, expansion of electricity supply, as well as construction of terracing in order to boost agricultural production.
