Afabet, 3 January 2012 – social- service facilities put in place in remote areas of Afabet sub-zone are playing significant role in the regrouping of citizens in the region leading nomadic pattern of living, reports indicated.
The inhabitants of the sub-zone settled in Qamchewa Administrative area said that previously due to their nomadic lifestyle they were unable to get educational and health services. At present however, thanks to the efforts of the Government in regrouping them they are able to benefit from social-service facilities put in place in the area.
The manager of Gulbub Administrative area, Ms. Semira Idris, explained that around 1,200 nomadic families have been re-grouped and are able to lead settled pattern of living.
