Fanko, 6 January 2012 – The inhabitants of Fanko Administrative area reiterated readiness to back up the on-going development endeavors in their surroundings through strengthening organizational capacity.
They said that the development projects being implemented are creating job opportunity, which in turn enables them to improve their living standard.
The head of Fanko Agricultural Project, Mr. Hailezgi Habte, explained that the efforts underway are aimed at achieving food security. The introduction of modern irrigation farming has also yielded satisfactory outcome, he added.
Moreover, satisfactory harvest of tomato, onion, pepper, maize and water melon from 315 hectares has been accomplished. 48 hectares have also been cultivated, Mr. Hailezgi said.
