Debarwa Sub-zone: Administrators and community elders called up on to reinforce development endeavors

At an annual assessment meeting in Debarwa sub-zone, it was stressed that Administrators and community elders need to exert joint efforts towards upgrading the living standard of the inhabitants. Debarwa, 7 January 2012 – At an annual assessment meeting in Debarwa sub-zone, it was stressed that Administrators and community elders need to exert joint efforts towards upgrading the living standard of the inhabitants.

Reports presented at the meeting, indicated that apart from the construction of micro-dams in the sub-zone, vigorous efforts are being made to cultivate farm lands through drip-irrigation, as well as renovating classrooms. In another report, it was indicated that tiesa land has been allocated to 487 nationals in six villages, and that 70 km-long dirt road has been renovated by the inhabitants through the popular campaign.

The Administrator of Debarwa sub-zone, Ms. Leul Asrat, called on the participants to step up efforts for further development achievements.
