Medefera, 7 January 2012 – The water project in Digsa Administrative area at a cost of 3 million Nakfa is nearing finalization, according to the construction and Administration of projects unit in the Southern region.
The project comprises solar water pumping machine, installation of 5 km-long pipelines, six water distribution centers and a water reservoir.
The Administrator of Digsa Administrative area, Mr. Hailemariam Yohannes, indicated that thanks to the Government’s vigorous efforts, the problem of potable water supply is being effectively tackled.
The Administrator of Segenetii sub-zone, Mr. Wodlemicheal Kidane, equally stated that the water projects put in place in the area are benefitting people in a number of villages.
