Administrator reminds farmers in Hagaz sub-zone to make early preparations for land for cultivation

The Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, reminded famers in Hagaz sub-zone to make early preparation for land cultivation so as to raise production, besides making due contribution in ensuring food security, as well as step up efforts in soil and water conservation. Keren, 10 January 2012 – The Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, reminded famers in Hagaz sub-zone to make early preparation for land cultivation so as to raise production, besides making due contribution in ensuring food security, as well as step up efforts in soil and water conservation.

The Administrator further indicated that preparations and vigorous efforts are essential for raising production, and called on farmers in the area to enhance their efforts in order to raise production rate.He further indicated that Da’erotay micro-dam is making due contribution in promoting water resources and cultivation of vegetable farming in the area, and urged farmers to judiciously utilize such resources.

Mr. Gergis also pointed out that land leveling  program in the region has played vital role in raising production, and assured that such efforts will make due contribution in ensuring food security.
