Inhabitants of Assab town reiterate readiness to back up development programs

The inhabitants of Assab town reiterated readiness to reinforce efforts for effective implementation of development programs. They voiced their determination in a meeting they conducted with the Administrator of the Southern Red Sea region, Mr. Ali Mahmoud. Assab, 11 January 2012 – The inhabitants of Assab town reiterated readiness to reinforce efforts for effective implementation of development programs. They voiced their determination in a meeting they conducted with the Administrator of the Southern Red Sea region, Mr. Ali Mahmoud.

The local inhabitants said that the provision of potable water supply, education, health, transport and other services have enabled them to lead a better life.

Mr. Ali explained that the putting in place of a number of service-rendering institutions is playing significant role in narrowing the previously existing gap between rural and urban centers, and has made positive impact as regards improving their living standard.

The inhabitants of Shekaito, Asebi and Bliekoma administrative areas asserted that there exists no power to block the development drive of the Eritrea people and their leadership. They also expressed conviction that impressive achievement would as ever be registered.
