The document embodies the study papers presented at the symposium the Ministry conducted in March 2 to 4 of last year in connection with the 20th Independence Day Anniversary celebration. Medefera, 13 January 2012- The Ministry of Transport and Communications has published a document highlighting achievements over the past 20 years. The document embodies the study papers presented at the symposium the Ministry conducted in March 2 to 4 of last year in connection with the 20th Independence Day Anniversary celebration.
The book comprises has 193 pages and four chapters reflecting Road and Marine transport, Civil Aviation and Communications, the development achievements registered, the challenges encountered and future plan of action.
The document also includes detailed information on development in the of sub-sectors of transport and communications, super and infra structures, safety and environment protection, human resources development and finance, in addition to the challenges and shortcomings encountered.
The final part of the documents incorporates questions and answers raised during the Symposium in Medefera town.The initiative that the Ministry took to document the registered over the past 20 years enriches achievements the symposium’s work on the part of different ministries and Administrations, besides minimizing bottlenecks as regards contacting regional Administrations and other government institutions which needs to be emulated by other bodies.
