Inhabitants of Anseba region called upon to enhance contribution in implementing development programs

The Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, called on the public at large to enhance contribution for the effective implementation of development programs. Habero, 16 January 2012 – The Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, called on the public at large to enhance contribution for the effective implementation of development programs.

At a meeting he conducted in Aretai semi-urban center with the inhabitants of Habero sub-zone, the Administrator explained that efforts are underway to narrow the gap between urban and rural areas as well as enabling the people to avail themselves of the existing social services. He also said that there is a plan to distribute power supply to Aretai from Hirgigo Power Supply line.

Moreover, Mr. Gergis said that master plan for mushrooming semi-urban centers and regrouped villages has been prepared.

He further called on fruits and vegetables farmers to step up efforts to meet market demand, and conduct soil and water conservation activities.
