Eritrean Institute of Technology step up efforts to produce citizens equipped with the required knowledge

The Eritrean Institute of Technology at Mai Nefhi, is stepping up efforts to produce citizens equipped with the required knowledge, as well as conscious and productive citizens, Dr. Tesfamichael Haile, Acting President of Academic Affairs, told ERINA.

Asmara, 18 January 2012- The Eritrean Institute of Technology at Mai Nefhi, is stepping up efforts to produce citizens equipped with the required knowledge, as well as conscious and productive citizens, Dr. Tesfamichael Haile, Acting President of Academic Affairs, told ERINA.

 

Dr. Tesfamichael who explained that there are more than 4,000 students, including about 2,000 first year ones, pursuing learning in degree and diploma programs, said that rigorous effort is being exerted to enable the students become competitive in all aspects and that satisfactory feed back is being received regarding those who have graduated and assigned to different organizations.

Stating that the capacity of lecturers is vital in learning and the teaching process, explained that efforts are being made to conduct educational activities with nationals, and for that post-graduate programs are being designed to upgrade the professional skill of lecturers.

Dr. Tesfamichael also asserted that students in their spare time are participating in reforestation programs besides cooperating with nearby schools in different activities.
The Eritrean Institute of Technology comprises Colleges of Engineering and Technology Science, as well as Education.
