Association of Dairy Farmers in Segeneiti sub-zone registers rapid production growth

The Association of Dairy Farmers in Segeneiti sub-zone has registered rapid production growth over the past 6 years. Reports indicated that the association comprising 400 dairy cattle supplies more than 90,000 litres of milk to the inhabitants of the sub-zone. Segeneiti, 27 January 2012 – The Association of Dairy Farmers in Segeneiti sub-zone has registered rapid production growth over the past 6 years. Reports indicated that the association comprising 400 dairy cattle supplies more than 90,000 litres of milk to the inhabitants of the sub-zone.

The chairman of the association, Mr. Hailemichael Andemariam, explained that it has ensured the availability of animal feed through cultivation and developing close tie with similar associations. He added that the providers and customers are benefiting equally as milk is sold at fair price at distribution stations.

The Association of Dairy Farmers in Segeneiti sub-zone which began with 25 members has at present 110 members.
