Nationals engaged in fishing activities called on the concerned body to upgrade the capacity of Massawa Ice Plant. They said that though the ice product is sold at fair price, the amount is inadequate.

Massawa, 27 January 2012 – Nationals engaged in fishing activities called on the concerned body to upgrade the capacity of Massawa Ice Plant. They said that though the ice product is sold at fair price, the amount is inadequate.

In his reply to the complaint, the manager of the Plant, Mr. Yemane Tekeste,  said that the factory distributes its products to nationals practicing fishing, service-rendering bodies, government institutions and is striving to meet market demand.

Massawa Ice Plant was established in 1934 and is producing 25 tons per day.
