Health service to mothers and pregnant women in Massawa sub-zone registering satisfactory outcome

Health service provided to mothers and pregnant women at Amatere Mother and Childcare Center in Massawa has registered satisfactory outcome, reports indicated. Massawa, 4 February 2012 – Health service provided to mothers and pregnant women at Amatere Mother and Childcare Center in Massawa has registered satisfactory outcome, reports indicated.The beneficiaries commended the devotion of professionals at the center.

Ms. Kedija Ahmed from the inhabitants indicated that the continuous campaign regarding health service has raised public awareness.

According to reports, about 900 mothers delivered at Amatere Health Center last year, and that medication was provided to more than 3,000 children below the age of 5. Moreover, 2,000 mothers with child delivery complications received care at the Centre in the same year.

Anti-mosquito medicine was also spread to all parts of the sub-zone so as to control malaria infection along with the provision of bags to mothers that receive pre-and post-delivery medication in the center.
