Efforts underway to strengthen Barentu Hospital administration

Mr. Tedros Tekle, head of administration of Barentu Hospital, indicated that effort is being exerted to strengthen Barentu Hospital administration in a bid to create conducive situation for service providers to work in earnest and beneficiaries get full service. Barentu, 13 February 2012 – Mr. Tedros Tekle, head of administration of Barentu Hospital, indicated that effort is being exerted to strengthen Barentu Hospital administration in a bid to create conducive situation for service providers to work in earnest and beneficiaries get full service.

He told ERINA that the introduction of modern medical equipment and assignment of professionals in administration is aimed at strengthening the provision of services in the hospital.

Mr. Tedros further indicated that the Barentu Hospital which includes OPD, general treatment, massage, pediatrics, surgery, X-ray, laboratory as well as eye clinic is a referral hospital that provides services to patients from Gash Barka region and patients coming from other regions.

All kinds of diseases are treated in the hospital through the efforts of the 103 professionals and 92 administration workers.

Likewise Mr. Tedros Tekle underscored that the introduction of eye treatment in the hospital is part of the effort being exerted to develop the provision of health services in the region and expressed further efforts need to be conducted to strengthen the provision of administrative and professional services.
